One year ago we lost Gunner the Runner. He was so much a part of our lives. He could find a cell phone in three feet of snow. He was part of our family for 12 years. Special! As with all of our companion pets, we live to see their wagging tails!
Today we have two great companions, Milo and Acer. Milo is 10 years old. Acer will be two years old on May 27th.
Milo and Gunner were real buddies. They shared their toys and loved Florida. In our dining room Gunner would lay on one end of the carpet and Milo on the other. They were true brothers. When Gunner passed, Milo was very sad! It’s funny; I wish I could talk to an animal. He went into sort of a depression. Speaking to others, I have heard that it’s not uncommon for that to happen.
Today I am sure Milo remembers Gunner; he was his best bud.
One thing is certain in our lives; we outlive our companions.
Gunner was very special; strong and a swimmer.
We miss him dearly. He has a piece of my daughter, Jessica’s, heart.
