Janet and I were introduced by a friend, Roxanne O’Connor. We met at the Whistling Oyster in Toronto and had dinner at Fred’s Not There. Well, from there I introduced her to Jessica. She was only 1-1/2 years old and couldn’t pronounce ‘Janet’ so she called her ‘Jammee’. Today, at the age of 26 she still calls her Jammee; they are inseparable!
I proposed to Janet in Antigua and we were married at our home in Oakville on July 26, 1997 surrounded by our family and friends. Jessica was the flower girl. We had our great friends of over 40 years now, the Danson’s, attend. Victoria, Tim, Jake and Elysse as well as their dog Cagney and our dog Spencer were there. It was a great day. The sun was shining.
We have spent many happy social times with the Danson’s and have watched all the children grow up. To see Elysse get married has brought a joy to our family. Elysse and Tomer were married on June 11, 2016 at their beautiful cottage in the Muskoka’s. It’s so wonderful to see young people grow to be so beautiful.
There is a magical switch in life where you look after your children then they look after their Mom and Dad.
